I am trying to zip few files one of which has filename in japanese language. I tried setting the charset but still the zip file contains garbled characters.
And this is happening on windows server 2012 R2

charset="Windows-31J";
objZipFile.setFileNameCharset(charset);

Am I missing anything?

Feature Requests / Read Zip file inside another Zip file
« Last post by Sadiinso on March 19, 2017, 06:42:49 PM »
Hi,
I need to read the content of some files, that are stored inside a Zip archive (there is no problem here), but, this zip archive is also stored in another zip archive. I can get the ZipInputStream of the second zip file, but, how to get the InputStream of the files inside without writing this ZipInputStream somewhere ?

Schemas :

(zip file 1) =[ (zip file 2) =[ (some files) ] ]

How does I get an inputStream from "some files" ?

I need to download zip from web service as byte[], extract it and then extracted file write to another one. I do not want to save zip to disk.
I expected something like this new ZipFile(InputStream)

Hi,

Can you tell me how to use mergeSplitFiles() to merge several split zip files back to the original zip file? I have posted a new topic in the following link,

http://www.lingala.net/zip4j/forum/index.php?topic=436.0

Thanks!

Hi all,

I have one big zip file and I have already split it into several small zip files like "ob", "ob.z01", "ob.z02", "ob.z03", "ob.z04". The function of "createZipFileFromFolder()" is really helpful! Thanks!

However, when I try to merge "ob", "ob.z01", "ob.z02", "ob.z03", "ob.z04" back to the original zip file, I failed. I cannot figure out the way of using mergeSplitFiles(). Actually, there is an old topic, which has the same problem with me, in the following link,

http://www.lingala.net/zip4j/forum/index.php?topic=45.0

It seems that mergeSplitFiles() should works fine. But I still don't know how to use it. How can I let mergeSplitFiles() knows that I want to merge  "ob", "ob.z01", "ob.z02", "ob.z03", "ob.z04"? or is there anyone knows how to merge the several zip files back to the original zip file? Thanks a lot!

Support and Bug Reports / Adding folder to zip but without adding all the files.
« Last post by unclebob on January 17, 2017, 12:50:41 PM »
On the one hand, I have to preserve folder structure in my zips. On the other, not all files in a folder go in the zip. Is there a way to add a folder to a zip without automatically adding all the files, and then adding specific files to that folder?

EDIT: I should probably add that I need relative paths. I did play around with ZipParameters.setDefaultFolderPath(), but all it seems to be doing is preserve the full absolute path of the files. It doesn't look like the argument actually does anything.
